General Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program

Orthopedic injuries and conditions affect our musculoskeletal system; that is our muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and joints. Orthopedic problems can develop in children, adults, and our senior population. They can occur in those who are very active and physically fit as well as those who are sedentary or frail. Orthopedic conditions may range in severity from an ankle sprain or shoulder bursitis to a fractured hip or disk herniation in your neck.

At ELEVATE, our physical therapists are a part of an elite group of therapists who are board certified specialists in orthopedic rehabilitation.   This certification, (OCS), awarded by the American Physical Therapy Association indicates that a physical therapist is a specialist in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic-related injuries and conditions. Specialty certification identifies those physical therapists that are committed to clinical excellence in their chosen area. To achieve this designation, applicants must undergo a strict qualification process and then pass an 8- hour certification examination administered by the National Board of Medical Examiners.  Currently, less than 1% of all physical therapists in the U.S. have achieved board certification.

Our General Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program is the foundation of our practice. Our physical therapist’s experience and expertise is primarily in treating orthopedic injuries and conditions. We can quickly identify the source of your problem and design an individualized treatment program to start you on the road to recovery. We use treatment protocols that are proven most effective in the latest research. Also, the equipment and overall design of our facility is based on treating these conditions. Whatever your condition, we have the experience and optimal treatment program for your needs.

Benefits of Our Program

  1. Reduce pain and discomfort.
  2. Restore joint range of motion and flexibility.
  3. Maximize muscle strength and power.
  4. Improve joint stability.
  5. Promote a quicker and safer return to your normal functional activities.
  6. Reduce the risk of re-injury or continued limitation from your condition.
  7. Sleep better and have a higher level of energy and alertness.

Why Act Now? Unfortunately, the pain, decreased mobility, strength, balance and loss of conditioning associated with arthritis, injury, surgery, and deconditioning tend to worsen when we do nothing!  Delayed action often results in an increased functional loss over time. If pain or loss in your ability to participate in normal daily activity persists for more than a few days, further evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional is recommended.  Don't wait.  Let us help "get you back into life!"
